In Japan, every second Monday of January marks Seijin no Hi, also known as Coming of Age Day. The holiday congratulates and encourages people who have reached the age of maturity in Japan—twenty years old—over the past year, and celebrates adulthood.

On Thursday, February 14, 2019, we will begin sales of our first Japan-sourced designer brand. Online shoppers in Japan and the United States will gain access to fashion items and apparel directly from Japan designer brands. We have been so anxious for this moment!
We are proud to sign as the exclusive international online provider of「OVER THE STRiPES」from Tokyo, Japan. Selections will be available for purchase at aoiship.com when supply becomes available.
About OVER THE STRiPES
OVER THE STRiPES was created by the free thought of designer Tamotsu Omine, born from Okinawa, Japan. Mr. Omine created OTS in 1998 after working for ten years as a Fashion Planner. The brand incorporates themes of American 'Rock' music genre elements as well as unique Japanese interpretations of American cultural icons, pop culture, and trends. Its line of apparel includes newly created modern label "Enhance Element" whose origin derives from its intended meaning: To present oneself with an air of relaxed elegance through casual wear.
Graphic T-shirts will be initially provided, while a greater variety of apparel will be prepared for stock in the coming months, including the 2019 Spring/Summer season collection.
aoiShip X「Designer」Event Series
For those who will be in Tokyo, we will hold the first of our bi-monthly aoiShip X「Designer」event series on Saturday, February 16, 2019, to celebrate the opening of OVER THE STRiPES on our marketplace. For more updates, keep an eye out for our event announcement on Facebook.
Beta testing will conclude in July 2019, at which point we will plan our transition to our self-developed, feature-rich, full-service, and proprietary Integrated Marketing + E-Commerce platform featuring over 100+ brands sourced from various regions of Japan. We will showcase our selections in a new innovative way that has never been seen before with online e-commerce.
